Off to school for Sunil and Ravi

Our two most recently adopted kids, 7yo Sunil (l) and Ravi (r) pose in their new school uniforms. Seeing them now it's hard to believe it was only about three months ago they were stuck inside a government detention center for street children.

Meanwhile, over 260 Bihari children have been sent temporarily to the same center, after police raids discovered them working as illegal child laborers in Hyderabad-area factories under brutal conditions. We posted about the situation, which attracted international press coverage, earlier in February. SARTHI has so far managed to return almost 20 of them back to their families, with more set to leave detention as well. If circumstances allow we will post photographs of the ongoing situation soon.
