SARTHI

boys behind bars at Apna Ghar government home in Bihar, India

SUPPORT THE CHILDREN

Sarthi is a children rights organization in Bihar, one of India's poorest regions. We protect and rehabilitate children placed in Bihar's government homes for minors, including children from broken or abusive families, orphaned children, street children, handicapped children and juvenile offenders.

About

SARTHI participates in outreach efforts on a wide range of issues that confront children in difficult circumstances throughout Bihar. SARTHI's most central work is the protection and rehabilitation of children placed in Bihar's government homes.

Mission

SARTHI protects and promote the rights of the children for their holistic development with community involvement. We believe all children should understand their right to survival, protection, development, and participation.

Help Needed

Sarthi sponsors the education, housing, and health care of several young boys. The government has awarded Sarthi custody of several so-called "street children." We work one-on-one with each child to help them grow and thrive. Our donors help make this possible. Are you interested in helping?
